After about 30 weeks of Corona Virus outbreak in Sierra Leone, the National Covid 19 Response Center (NaCOVERC) finally eases some of the most toughest measure aimed at preventing and controlling the spread of the pandemic in the nation. These measures instituted to combat the spread of the virus were focused on creating a balance between saving lives and sustaining livelihood but has greatly impacted the movement of people, goods and caused a great national inconvenience and social discomfort. Therefore, mentioned in a press release issued out yesterday 26 October 2020 the NaCOVERC informed the general public that the fight against the pandemic is still not over yet, but confirmed that the epi-data for the last three months shows a decline in the general number of cases. So in this light, NaCOVERC announces the effective and immediate lifting of the 5am to 11pm nationwide curfew for a period of 4 week, with all other Covid 19 regulations in place.
