GEORGE FLOYD 100DAYS SINCE DEATH


 


Ever since the tragic death of George Floyd, a 46 years old black man who was killed by the US police, the sport world has been at the Apex of the Black lives matter movement campaigning against police brutality and fighting for the life of the Black Man.

 

Aston Villa and Sheffield United started the premier league this season with 20 more other clubs showing their support for the Black Lives matter movement by taking a knee at the kick off of each game. Also seen, is the Black Lives Matter replacing the players name at the back of their Jersey. The campaign was carried on in the championship as well. This campaign was not only done in the soccer world but the sports world at large as tennis players, cricket players, wrestlers, heavyweight lifters and many more joined forces in the protest. The Sport world used the strength of its platform to reach millions and help fight for change in America and the world at large.
